Does anyone have any recommendations for builders in Canterbury region? We’re looking at Jennian, Orange, Today and Mike Greer currently. Looking for a build that is (obviously) of a high standard, but also a builder that is upfront about what is included so we can plan and budget for variations.

Yes and I would personally stay away from the group home builders. Recommendations for builders in this area are: Greenland Homes, DNA Structures Limited, Peter Ray Homes, Paul McStay Homes, Torque Construction (Que Homes), Peter Quinn (Quinn Homes). Have either built with these myself or have good friends who have – good quality builds, honest and reliable. 🙂

Adding to what Sally suggested I built with Homes by Maxim and was really happy with the results. I have also heard good things about a number of the ones Sally suggested. Check out their show homes and chat with them. Costs nothing to talk with them. I would also suggest that you thoroughly check out any you consider building with.
