Ceiling Gib size??? Hi everyone, we were about to sign our contract with a group builder when we read that all ceiling gib will be 10mm. I thought that it needed to be 13mm, but an internet search suggests 13mm is best practice but not a requirement. *Any experience using 10mm on ceilings and did it sag after a few years? **Any advice? Thanks

John

My last two new homes had 10mm Gib on ceilings and we didn’t experience any sag after 5 years (sold after 5 years)

Hi John Will be fine if the ceiling battens were installed at a maximum of 450mm centres rather than the 600mm requirement with 13mm gibboard
